Net Atlantic Organizes Used Jean Drive to Benefit Local Organizations

Net Atlantic Organizes Used Jean Drive to Benefit Local OrganizationsNet Atlantic’s Volunteer Committee organized a “Used Jean Drive” to benefit two local organizations: The North Shore Moving Market (formerly St. Joseph’s Food Pantry) and Harvest of Hope Used Furniture Thrift Shop.

The goal was to donate 50 pairs of gently worn or new jeans to The North Shore Moving Market. On November 26th, three of our employees dropped off 73 pairs of jeans, along with jean shirts and jean jackets. According to the volunteers they met with at The North Shore Moving Market, it was quite a large amount. The organizations sell them at $4.00 a pair and use the money to buy food and supplies that benefit individuals and families in need of food assistance during the holiday season and the cold winter months that follow.

A jean drive can provide clothing for families in need while also serving as a good community event. Collect jeans of all colors, styles and sizes for homeless shelters, schools, food pantries or places of worship to distribute at the beginning of the school year, in cold weather or during holidays. With just a little planning and a few well-placed donation bins, you can gather used jeans that will provide clothing or food assistance for people of all ages.
