We’re thrilled to announce that Net Atlantic has been ranked at #2,097 on the prestigious Inc. 5000 list! And if that weren’t enough, we also came in at #80 on the top 100 Companies in Massachusetts, and #74 for the top companies in the Greater Boston area!
Read on to find out how we did it, and what our management team had to say.
The Inc. 500|5000 list represents the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy—America’s independent entrepreneurs. Net Atlantic’s strong and accelerated growth over the last three years propelled the company to rank on the prestigious Inc. magazine list for the first time, joining companies like Living Social, Edible Arrangements, and Lifelock, among other prominent brands.
“Rapid growth in our email marketing offerings, including those from Lyris and StrongView, have catapulted us onto the Inc. 5000|5000 list,” cited Geoffrey Besse, Net Atlantic CFO. “Clients are seeing the tremendous value in our powerful software solutions, high delivery rates, industry knowledge, and ISP relationships. As a value-added reseller (VAR) of Lyris and StrongView, and one of the first Email Service Providers, we’ve built a robust solution that works very effectively for our clients.”
Net Atlantic CEO Andrew Lutts had this to say: “We’re honored and excited to be on this year’s Inc. 500|5000 list, and we’re grateful to our clients and to all our employees who worked so hard to make this happen. There’s nothing more rewarding for us than to see our clients grow and prosper, and to be a key part of their email communications strategy.”
Despite a stagnant economic environment, Inc. magazine reports that the median growth rate of 2013 Inc. 500|5000 companies included in the list is an impressive 142 percent. The companies on this year’s list report having created over 520,000 jobs in the past three years, and aggregate revenue among the honorees reached $241 billion.
“Not all the companies in the Inc. 500 | 5000 are in glamorous industries, but in their fields they are as famous as household name companies simply by virtue of being great at what they do. They are the hidden champions of job growth and innovation, the real muscle of the American economy,” says Inc. Editor Eric Schurenberg.
“At Net Atlantic, we’ve seen strong growth from both new clients and existing clients in a wide variety of verticals and markets, including publishers, advertising agencies, business services, and religious organizations,” said Mike Mattozzi, Net Atlantic’s Director of Sales. “Media companies, colleges and universities, and many non-profit groups make use of our powerful platforms to communicate with their members, subscribers, and constituents. It’s been inspiring to see how our services have helped clients grow over the years; that’s a huge part of our success.
“Although email certainly isn’t as new as some other technologies out there,” he continued, “it’s a strong foundation for building an effective marketing communications plan, and almost always shows the highest return on investment.”
Wesley Owen, VP of Technology and Strategy, points to new products and professional services including Email Deliverability Monitoring and Resolution, Email Campaign Intelligence and Data Services, and Email Campaign Deployment, as drivers of the company’s rapid growth. “We’ve developed a suite of services for those clients who want to make the most of their email marketing efforts,” he said, “and they are in high demand because they provide key insights into the effectiveness of our clients’ email campaigns.”
